Happy 2nd Birthday, Sammy!

Yes, Sam does turn three in a week, but that is ok...better late than never is what I am telling myself!

I so wish I would have written this post last year...sure would have helped my aging brain. But, let's get back to our little Sammy.

Sammy is our little blond haired, blue eyed boy. He is the only one of our boys who looks like his Mama (I guess one out of four ain't bad).  And, he may look like his Mama, but Daddy is his world. We wondered if being apart from Jake over the summer for almost two months would cause the cord to break between the two of them...but I guess distance makes the heart grow fonder. We joke that Jake imprinted on Sam (yes, we love our Twilight books over here). In remembering Sam's second year of life, three words spring to, tough, and sick. It took Sam his entire first year of life to learn how to sleep...some days, I thought true rest would never come to us...BUT, Sam started sleeping through the night right when he turned a year old and boy, oh boy, did this little guy sleep.  He would sleep like eighteen hours a day through his second year of joke.  Sometimes, he still does.  This little boy is tough as nails. He takes serious falls, but always brushes himself off and gets right back up. He is the little boy with no fear - climbing stairs, ladders, trees with not a care in the world.  And, when he falls down those stairs, off those ladders, and from those trees...he shakes it off and gets right back to it.  Sadly, the move to Switzerland was not kind to Sammy - he started to get sick in October and stayed sick up until his second birthday...poor buddy. He even had his first hospital stay in January. But, he recovered and I guess the many bouts with sickness will only make him have a killer immune system.

So, I decided to do the interview for Sam.
